Ways to take action

You can fight injustice by taking part in collective action. There are many ways to do this, and you will need to find the cause and method that works for you.

Unions

Join a union to work together with colleagues for workers' rights.

Support the ongoing strikes

Anyone can support a strike - you don't have to be a member of a Union to support their strike.

The best way to support a strike is to go to a picket line:

Find out who is picketing and when (visit https://strikemap.org)
Arrive at any time whilst the picket line is on. First thing in the morning can be particularly helpful.
Stay for any length of time, even as short as a few minutes. You could even just turn up to drop off some snacks and then leave.
You could take some drinks or snacks to share.
You could take a placard saying who you are and why you support the strikers.

Other ways to support a strike:

Donate to a hardship fund
Post on social media in solidarity
Honk, ring a bell or clap as you go past!
